Project: James J. Hill House
Location: Summit Neighborhood

A shining example of recent Barrier Projects is the historic James J. Hill House, a crown jewel of Minnesota's strong rail-road heritage. Recently, the historic house underwent extensive updating and repair. Barrier Spray Technologies, LLC was needed to provide superior R-value, mold and allergen control and, perhaps most important of all, vapor prevention to preserve the 115 year old structure. By choosing Barrier, the James J. Hill House van now rest assured the building envelope will last another 100 years and one of Minnesota’s proudest legacies will live on. Project: Holy Trinity School
Location: Winsted, Minnesota

The Holy Trinity School, located in a turn-of-the-century structure, needed to make the building more comfortable and energy efficient. The school district called on Barrier, which scheduled the work around school hours. The roof area needing insulation was above a drop ceiling with grid work, which presented some challenges. The areas of the roof insulated by Barrier are now the only parts that hold frost and snow, indicating that no heat is being lost through that portion of the roof.
