| Below you will see a thermal energy comparison of a rim joist. Picture 1 is the rim joist stuffed with fiberglass prior to having spray foam insulation installed. In picture 1, the camera is showing cooler temperatures located in the rim joist with fiberglass. Picture 2 is the rim joist with the fiberglass removed and spray foam insulation installed. These pictures were taken with a nitrogen cooled CMC TVS-8500 IR camera during winter of 2008. | |
