Thermal Barrier - UreK Ure-K is an excellent solution for thermal protection for any building environment. Ure-k is primarily a thermal barrier but it can be used for acoustic control. It is sometimes used in combination over spray polyurethane insulation if it is not protected by drywall or an acceptable barrier with a 15 minute thermal rating. It can also be applied to metal for thermal protection. At one inch, it will reduce the ignition or burning of combustible surfaces. It has an r-value of 3.5.
